"This it how it should have happened"
When I saw this on the front page, I knew it was going to be an Ash death scene, and I was right! Great job.
Hey, I was wondering, if you decide to do another Ash death scene, could you have the one from the third movie (battle with the unown and Entei and when Ash fell out the window and he almost got impaled by the spikes then Charizard saved him) only this time, he doesn't get saved and he gets impaled? That would be so satisfying. Everyone who watched that movie in the theatre, wanted that to have happened. Just throwing out ideas there, XD.
Anyway I enjoyed this parody, particularly since I hate Ash, so this gets a thumbs up in my book!

"Definately beyond your average sprite movie"
It's nice to see a sprite animator with custom sprites rather than the overdone Sonic/Mario DBZ battlers trying to be like Super Mario Bros Z. Also it held my attention a lot better too. I love the sprite movies but it's nice to see something original like this one. I also found the element moves to be revolutionary. In short, I'm impressed.

"Wow cool, I'm glad to have helped you make this!"
Hey, it's Mutteo. I just saw your flash and it is pretty cool. For some reason, I enjoy the cast of One Piece interact with Super Mario.
The only problem was that the music was too loud. I mean I can hear the voice actors fine, but the music distracted me from the actual story. Still, this is a great sprite work, much better than your average sprite work.
I can't wait for the next part. Let me know if you need any help with anything. I'm always willing to lend a hand.

"I thought it was cute, but it takes up too space."
I wanted to check this flash out, and I felt the flash itself was not 9.2mb worth of material. In fact the loading time took longer than the actual cartoon. There wasn't a lot of substance to it. The reason I point this out because I know I can make 12 minute cartoons for only 5mb.
My guess is you either have your frame rate set too high. I set mine to 18fps, or your music isn't set to stream. If your songs aren't set to stream, the file will be much larger.
Overall the cartoon was cute, but a lot of people probably wont feel it was worth their time loading for this short and simple cartoon.
However, I did enjoy some moments of this cartoon. I like particularly Mario wearing Wario's hat and pimping out his ride. Overall though, work on the file size so it's less time consuming to load your flash.

"Good ideas, and a good start for an animation"
I watched the whole thing and I'll say this. It's a lot more creative of a story than the large amount of DBZ type Mario/Sonic crossovers/parodies that were created after Super Mario Bros Z franchise came out, so I give you points for originality. I also give you props for using Toad as a main character, since he seems to be underused a lot on sprite flashes, besides from the ones that kill him constantly for jokes. I give you kudos for the use of music and backgrounds too. Most people on Newgrounds don't feel the need to use important elements. Oh yeah, and the custom characters look cool, particularly the Green Sonic character.
As for the criticism, I think what drags my attention elsewhere from the film is the fact the sprites are too small to see. While the backgrounds are nice, I want to see the characters in the story, otherwise it's hard to pay attention. Try to expand the sprites out in size more, so the viewers can see what's going on. That is really the only major complaint I have about the film.
This part is optional, but the text boxes are an eyesore to look at. If you use transparent colors for the text boxes instead of opaque ones, and change the text style a little bit, it will be more pleasing to the eye to read. These are just small, unimportant things to work with as you progress. If you want, you can also get voice actors from the Voice Acting Alliance to help out too. Again, only cosmetic, just something to think about.
Overall they are good ideas, and I would like to see what happens. Good job.

I played your game all the way through and I am in awe. As a fellow sprite animator, I can understand how long this took you. You must have hand drawn everything. The neighborhood, the trees, the cinematic, all of it was phenomenal. I'm sure this took forever to make, but it was all worth it. I even liked the robot boss, the style of it looked like something from the 80's, very nice.
I also noticed you haven't got enough good feedback from this. I've been there. People just don't want to give sprite movies/games a chance. This needs to be on the front page. People need to see and appreciate the work you've taken into making this.
Don't give up. If this doesn't make front page, just keep trying. Soon enough people will notice.

I have NO idea what's going on. When I start playing, I have no bullets and if I get too close the tornado kills me in one shot. I tried walking backward, and I tried looking for weapons but to no avail.
Also, in order to play again, I have to watch the intro again, which is great, but not after watching it so many times, it needs to have a skip scene feature.
Now, I may be reading too deep into this. Perhaps the entire point to the game is that the tornado can't be stopped and mankind is soon to be doomed, then again, I don't see too many games where Nazis win the game, but I'm probably not reading too much into the game. Yeah, Wolvenstein 3-D have you fighting Germans, but you still can win.
Perhaps you were intending to just make this a joke or not. I believe it's supposed to be a game. So I'm not sure if there's glitches in it or not.
Phew, I talk to much. Anyway you did a good job with this, which is why I wanted to critique this in such a specific manner. Okay, I'll stop talking.

I was entertained by this. It's not very often I watch a movie all the way to the end. The drawing style was unique and I enjoy the overall goofiness of it.
I especially liked the intro logo "Everything by me!" rather than the "Everything by everyone" when that flash logo played. Btw, where did you get that short flash intro of the Newgrounds banner anyway? I can't find it on the site anywhere.

You are the KING of sprite animation!!! I never seen a sprite movie done so eloquently. I wish to emulate your talents and strive to become as good as you, and it looks like I have a long way to go.
I am the student and you are the Master. I have so much to learn from you.
Absolutely breathtaking.

Sprite movies are declining. It seems only a few sprite cartoons are ever submitted, and out of those few, only one or two of them are popular. My cartoon series is no exception. The problem with sprite movies is that they are all the same, and they tend to not be animated very well since most sprites have their own animations.
I thought this animation was great, but don't feel you need to give up sprite flashes either. I'm sure when it's presented in a fresh and new manner, it will help bring good reputation back to sprite movies.
