This it how it should have happened

When I saw this on the front page, I knew it was going to be an Ash death scene, and I was right! Great job.

Hey, I was wondering, if you decide to do another Ash death scene, could you have the one from the third movie (battle with the unown and Entei and when Ash fell out the window and he almost got impaled by the spikes then Charizard saved him) only this time, he doesn't get saved and he gets impaled? That would be so satisfying. Everyone who watched that movie in the theatre, wanted that to have happened. Just throwing out ideas there, XD.

Anyway I enjoyed this parody, particularly since I hate Ash, so this gets a thumbs up in my book!

Definately beyond your average sprite movie

It's nice to see a sprite animator with custom sprites rather than the overdone Sonic/Mario DBZ battlers trying to be like Super Mario Bros Z. Also it held my attention a lot better too. I love the sprite movies but it's nice to see something original like this one. I also found the element moves to be revolutionary. In short, I'm impressed.

Wow cool, I'm glad to have helped you make this!

Hey, it's Mutteo. I just saw your flash and it is pretty cool. For some reason, I enjoy the cast of One Piece interact with Super Mario.

The only problem was that the music was too loud. I mean I can hear the voice actors fine, but the music distracted me from the actual story. Still, this is a great sprite work, much better than your average sprite work.

I can't wait for the next part. Let me know if you need any help with anything. I'm always willing to lend a hand.

I was amused, but this game could use a tune up

I love kingdom hearts, and I enjoy final fantasy style stuff. So when I played some of the rpg element, I enjoyed it, but I think that's the nostalgia kicking in.

A major problem for me was the text box, gray with lime text? That hurts the eyes, not to mention the text box itself is unattractive to look at. Some of the stages were a little messy as well. The story itself wasn't all that thrilling either, it's a case of "Let's go here""Okay""We'll stop you" I don't see any epic storytelling here.

I'm also disappointed that Roxas wasn't playable as a guest, he was just a decoration that talked to you. Granted this segment was very short, but I think what would have been interesting was to explore the areas with Roxas and just enjoy the trip with him.

It was mostly like a slide show to me, granted it's more interesting than a slideshow, but less interesting than a typical game.

People need to see this.

I played your game all the way through and I am in awe. As a fellow sprite animator, I can understand how long this took you. You must have hand drawn everything. The neighborhood, the trees, the cinematic, all of it was phenomenal. I'm sure this took forever to make, but it was all worth it. I even liked the robot boss, the style of it looked like something from the 80's, very nice.

I also noticed you haven't got enough good feedback from this. I've been there. People just don't want to give sprite movies/games a chance. This needs to be on the front page. People need to see and appreciate the work you've taken into making this.

Don't give up. If this doesn't make front page, just keep trying. Soon enough people will notice.

I like the concept and the ideas but....

I have NO idea what's going on. When I start playing, I have no bullets and if I get too close the tornado kills me in one shot. I tried walking backward, and I tried looking for weapons but to no avail.

Also, in order to play again, I have to watch the intro again, which is great, but not after watching it so many times, it needs to have a skip scene feature.

Now, I may be reading too deep into this. Perhaps the entire point to the game is that the tornado can't be stopped and mankind is soon to be doomed, then again, I don't see too many games where Nazis win the game, but I'm probably not reading too much into the game. Yeah, Wolvenstein 3-D have you fighting Germans, but you still can win.

Perhaps you were intending to just make this a joke or not. I believe it's supposed to be a game. So I'm not sure if there's glitches in it or not.

Phew, I talk to much. Anyway you did a good job with this, which is why I wanted to critique this in such a specific manner. Okay, I'll stop talking.

An epic soundtrack

It's not often I get to hear the kind of music that's worthy of game design. I think that this should either be in an rpg game like Darkstone, or the intro to a epic movie. It's just too bad I don't have any game design. Why don't you submit more to Newgrounds? I'm sure some people could get some great use out of these soundtracks.

Leimrey responds:

Thanks for the review. Sadly enough I have a lot to do with real life and my effin' studies. But I will surely submit some more of my tracks here. Keep watching for new tracks and thanks again for the review.

Once known as Cleafurry Productions, I have closed down animations. This is museum of old sprite movies that you can sit back and enjoy.
